Hey everyone,
On this blog, we've explored countless topics around health, longevity, and performance. We've gone deep on everything from specific supplements to blood markers. A common thread through it all has been the power of data—specifically, the data from our own bodies.
Like many of you, I religiously get my bloodwork done. I get the PDF back from the lab, and I’m immediately faced with the same frustrating problem: a list of numbers next to a "standard range" that tells me very little. It tells me if I'm "normal," but it doesn't tell me if I'm optimal. It doesn't tell me how to get from good to great.
I've spent hundreds of hours cross-referencing studies, talking to experts, and building my own spreadsheets to demystify my results and figure out what actions to take. I always thought, "There has to be a better way."
Today, I want to share the first version of that better way.
Introducing Kestrel Report

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a new project called Kestrel Report.
Kestrel Report is a service designed to transform your complex bloodwork into a simple, personalized blueprint for longevity and peak performance. This report is powered by a custom trained AI model that is heavily weighted on the most cutting edge longevity research and just as importantly looked at and carefully created by experts in this field.
An Invitation for Founding Members
This is where you come in. I'm launching the beta test for Kestrel Report, and I'm opening it up exclusively to you, the readers of JakesJourney, first.

Synthesized Plan & Next Steps
Your results are a blueprint for excellent health. The focus for the next 90 days is on maintaining this high-performing state through consistency and mindful practices.
Maintain the Foundation
Your current nutrition, exercise, and sleep protocols are clearly effective. The highest priority is to maintain consistency in these areas.
- Continue your balanced, whole-foods diet rich in micronutrients.
- Sustain your current exercise frequency and intensity.
- Protect your sleep schedule, as it is critical for recovery and hormonal health.
Mindful Tracking & Fine-Tuning
Your markers are exceptional, but there are a few key areas for improvement to reach peak longevity potential.
- Consider boron to bring your SHBG into a more ideal range.
- Consider lowering your LDL and ApoB to reduce future ASCVD risk. You should consult your doctor but options are drugs like statins, PSK9 Inhibitors, and Ezetimibe. With your results a very low dose is likely all that is needed of any of these. Also you can improve this by increasing soluble fiber in your diet, reducing saturated fat, and looking at supplements like Berberine, ALA, and Citrus Bergamot. At Kestrel report we like to see what is possible with diet and lifestyle but have no issues working with a doctor to add low dose statins or Ezetimibe to bring these into optimal ranges.
- Consider eating more fatty fish or supplementing with Omega 3's to get to a more optimal Omega 3 range.
Supplement Recommendations
Based on your biomarker results and general health optimization goals, here are some supplements that may be beneficial for your situation.
Magnesium
Dose: 400-600mg per day. | Rationale: Supports over 300 enzymatic reactions, sleep quality, and muscle function. Any form that works best for you with preferred being glycinate, taurate, l-threnoate, or citrate.
Vitamin D3+K2
Dose: 1,000-5,000 IU D3 + 100mcg K2. | Rationale: Supports bone health, immune function, and hormonal balance. Your current level is good, but increasing it could help you reach a more optimal state.
Omega-3 Fish Oil
Dose: 2-4g EPA/DHA daily. | Rationale: Supports brain health, reduces inflammation, and promotes cardiovascular health. Your level is good, but could be more optimal.
Multivitamin
Dose: 1 serving daily. | Rationale: Fills potential micronutrient gaps in the diet to support overall foundational health.
Creatine Monohydrate
Dose: 5g per day. | Rationale: Supports muscle mass, strength, and cognitive function.
Boron
Dose: 3-6mg per day. | Rationale: May help optimize hormonal balance by lowering SHBG.
Berberine
Dose: 500mg, 2-3x per day. | Rationale: May help support healthy LDL and blood sugar levels.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA)
Dose: 300-600mg per day. | Rationale: A potent antioxidant that may assist in managing healthy LDL levels.
